We are delighted to offer you the chance to create your own ‘Friday Night Fakeaway’ under the guidance of Ami Mehta, a current parent at the School and previous winner of the TV Shows “Come Dine with Me” and “Humble Pie”!

You will create three authentic Indian dishes - cook along live, watch and cook later, or simply watch and enjoy. The dishes you will be shown are:

Butter Chicken* (substitute Paneer or Tofu for Vegetarian or Vegan)

Bombay Potato*

Chana Masala

Choose and cook your own rice and/or naan to accompany.

This is a free event for OBs and promises to be a lot of fun, but please do register in advance to help us manage numbers. Only one ticket per household is required.

For those cooking along on the night or over the weekend, we will choose a winner for the most appetising recreation of Ami's dishes, the prize being a £50 Gift Voucher. To enter, email a photo of your completed meal to oldbrentwoods@brentwood.essex.sch.uk by 9am on Monday 16th November.

Ingredient lists will be supplied after registration and you will be sent the Zoom link for the event on Tuesday 10th November.

Registration closes on Friday 6th November to allow you time to buy the required ingredients - all are/should be available at regular supermarkets, or you could venture to a specialist Indian food shop.
