OB Day 2026

This year’s Old Brentwood Day was a fantastic celebration of community, connection, and spirited competition. We were blessed with wonderful, sunny summer weather that provided the perfect backdrop for the day.

A Special Return to Tradition

A highlight of the day was the reintroduction of the traditional Chapel Service, a cherished element that had been missing from the event for several years. Gathering over 70 people together in the Chapel again with a suprise rendition of the school song made the day truly special.

Welcoming Our New OB President

During the Annual General Meeting (AGM), we had the privilege of meeting and officially welcoming our new Old Brentwood Society President, Stuart Doran. We look forward to his leadership and vision in the year ahead.

Sporting Highlights

The sports fixtures brought high energy and spirited competition across all disciplines, with experience ultimate winning over youth as the OBs delivered strong performances throughout:

Football: OBs swept all three matches.

Hockey: A thrilling, hard-fought 3-3 draw.

Netball: A draw in the 1st VII match, followed by an OB victory in the 2nd VII.

Squash & Tennis: Victories across both fixtures for the OBs.

We are extremley proud of the comrardery delivered across all our games.

Music, Food, and Community

Off the pitch, the atmosphere remained bright and lively all day, thanks to wonderful musical performances by talented OB Bessie Taggart and staff. Attendees were treated to an amazing BBQ, with special thanks going to our hard-working catering and event staff for facilitating such a great spread.

It was particularly heartwarming to see so many non-playing supporters, friends, and families filling the grounds to cheer on the teams and enjoy the day together. We had just over 200 non-playing supporters sign up to the event in advance, thank you to everyone who joined us, performed, and worked behind the scenes to make Old Brentwood Day such a memorable success!

Thanks again to those who came and made it such an enjoyable day, and do spread the word for 2027 - We would love for OB Day to become a firm fixture in everyone's diary!
