Bournemouth Lunch Group
Remembering their teachers!
Since 2006, a group of Old Brentwoods living within travelling distance of Bournemouth meet twice a year in the Spring & Autumn for a convivial lunch in the Miramar Hotel in Bournemouth.
On Wednesday 13th November 2019, seven Old Brentwoods held a lively discussion on "The Masters who taught us at School". This topic was prompted by the article in the November 2019 edition of The Chronicle titled "Eight teachers who helped fashion the lives of thousands of Brentwood pupils" - including all those present at the lunch!
One wonders if our former masters and mistresses thought that we would all be talking about them so enthusiastically 70 years later! Perhaps, today's teachers should be warned of what they say now may be retold again in 2090!
The next luncheon will be on Wednesday 29th April 2020. Geoffrey Holland, the organiser, invites any Old Brentwood, perhaps recently retired, now living within, 40 or so miles of Bournemouth who would like to join the Bournemouth Lunch Group to email him at: gt.holland@ntlworld.com or ring 01202 385381.
