Brentwood Bursary Classic 2025 - Foundation Golf Day

This was our second Foundation golf day and 48 golfers joined for a stunning day on the course. Feeling more like July weather, a mix of Old Brentwood, parents, and friends of the School, gathered to compete in 'The Classic'. All proceeds from the day went directly to support the Foundation and bursaries at Brentwood. 

A huge thank you to Russell Bartlett and his team at the Heron Country Club - not only did they lay on the day for the benefit of the Foundation - but treated guests to a first class day of service and refreshments. 

It was a team format with a few individual prizes and congratulations to:

• Rob Key - Long Drive winner - His Bryson DeChambeau length drive turned the challenging par 5 18th into a short par 4!
• David Plane - Nearest Pin - The finest of iron shots to about 6ft on the long par 3 8th (a solid two putts for par!).
• Jamie Martin - Hole-in-one - His first ever, and what a day to do it. Jamie celebrated in style and genrously provided the champagne for everyone to recognise his achievement
• BUSRAY CLASSIC WINNERS - Christain Croll, John Halliday, Ian Crispin & Gus Lyall - A fantastic 94 points saw their names on the jug. An impressive score from a strong group of OB golfers. They each won a £250 voucher kindly donated by Winged Boots (1622 Corporate sponsors).

Thank you to everyone who took part and made it such a brilliant day, and a successful one for the Foundation.
