As a student, do I have to complete my challenge during my allocated time?

You are expected to attend and register during your allocated time slot. To take on an additional or longer challenge, please complete the form - approval from your parent/guardian and Head of Year is required.

Can I participate if I am a Year 11 or Year 13 student on exam leave?

If you are on exam leave, you can come onto site and complete your challenge at any point during the day. If you are doing an exception, please fill in the form on the 'Get Involved' page.

As a member of the Brentwood School Association (parent, Old Brentwood, friend of the School), when can I take part?

Association members are invited to take part outside of the core school day, at the following times:

  • Before school - 6:00am-8:30am
  • After school - from 4:00pm onwards

The school day (8:30am-4:00pm) is reserved for pupils and staff.

From 4:00pm onwards, the event will transition into a wider community celebration with a festival-style atmosphere. All Association members are warmly encouraged to attend, take part and support the event.

Which House do I support if I’m not a student?

You can choose to support:

  • Your former House (if you are an Old Brentwood)
  • Your child’s House
  • Or simply a House of your choice

There will be House points awarded, but the main goal is to come together and raise as much as possible for bursaries.

What are we fundraising for?

Race Across the Globe raises money for Brentwood School bursaries, helping to provide life-changing educational opportunities for students who would not otherwise be able to attend.

This year, our goal is to fund a full Sixth Form bursary place for a deserving young person. We are also aiming to at least double the amount raised last year, making an even greater impact.

What should I do if I’m unsure or need advice?
