Race Across the Globe 2026
Take part in a walk or run around the athletics track to contribute miles for your House. This could be anything from running a 10k, or walking a few laps around the track, every step counts. For example, 10 laps of the track equals four kilometres, all contributing to your House total and supporting Brentwood School bursaries - the choice is yours.
Head to the cardio marquee in the centre of the athletics track, where you'll find both static bikes and rowing machines. Cycle or row as far as you can and help your House climb the leaderboard, because every mile adds up.
In recognition of many preferring functional fitness challenges, we are putting on a Hyrox-style event in collaboration with the formidable 'CrossFit13'. If you don't know much about 'Rox' style events, take a look online and review the exercises below — it is a test of strength, endurance and determination.
Watch an introduction video ▶It usually costs >£100 to do these challenges because of the setup, equipment and staffing, but this is a chance to do one at a fraction of the price and this fee goes towards the fundraising (and your House total).

You can take part individually or in pairs (running together but sharing the movements). Participants will go in timed waves, with limited spaces available. Push your limits and see how far you can go.
In celebration of the 165th Anniversary of the CCF, Sarb Singh, Duncan Hunter and Phillip Sell will each take on an incredible challenge - walking 55km from London to Brentwood.
Show your support by joining them (16+), or cheering them on as they complete this remarkable journey.
Graham Kiff is once organising Ride Essex, a guided cycle ride through the Essex countryside. This is a 100km route (16+ only). If there is enough interest, a 50km route may also be introduced. Add your miles to your House total while enjoying the ride. If you are interested, please email gmk@brentwood.essex.sch.uk.
